Hill's Science Diet is voluntarily recalling prescription canned dog foods for oversupplementation with Vitamin D. Canned dog foods are the only affected products. Dry food and cat food are not recalled or affected by the oversupplementation.

We are contacting clients who have purchased recalled food from us individually with advice on how to proceed. If you purchase Hill's Prescription Diets elsewhere (for example Chewy, 1-800 Pet Meds, etc), please contact them directly about how to proceed.

If you have been feeding recalled food, please call us if you are seeing any abnormal symptoms in your dog of lethargy, poor appetite, no appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, urinating more or drinking more.  Initial exam and screening blood work will be covered by Hill's as long as you can prove you have fed the recalled food.
