Delmar Animal Hospital Provides Medical Services for Rehabilitated Red Foxes at Trailside Zoo
Delmar Animal Hospital is proud to announce its involvement in providing comprehensive medical care to two rehabilitated red foxes that now reside at the Trailside Zoo at Bear Mountain. The foxes, deemed non-releasable, will serve as educational ambassadors, helping to inform the public about local wildlife conservation.
After extensive rehabilitation, it was determined that these foxes were unable to survive in the wild. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of wildlife rehabilitators and the veterinary team at Delmar Animal Hospital, the animals are now thriving in their new permanent home at the zoo.
The medical team at Delmar Animal Hospital performed a range of services, including thorough health assessments, vaccinations, and necessary treatments, ensuring the foxes are in optimal health. Going forward, they will be cared for by the dedicated staff at the Trailside Zoo, where they will play a crucial role in educating the public about the importance of wildlife preservation.
The Trailside Zoo at Bear Mountain offers a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about local wildlife, and the addition of the red foxes will further enhance their educational programming. Delmar Animal Hospital looks forward to continuing its partnership with local wildlife organizations and zoos in efforts to promote animal health and conservation.
