Prescription Diet Refills

The Delmar Animal Hospital believes there are many opportunities to buy good pet foods at reasonable prices at multiple locations throughout the Capital District. There is no "one size fits all" pet food and we will happily discuss your pet’s nutrition at the next well-care visit.

For those pets that have disease processes known to respond to specific products, we will recommend prescription diets. We carry Purina, Hill’s Science Diet, Royal Canin and Blue Buffalo prescription foods. These prescription diets are treated like medications and require a diagnosis and annual examination. We can only sell prescription diets to current patients.

Here are some reasons why we use these sites/programs:

1. We are not writing paper scripts at the moment in efforts to decrease contact and exposure for clients and staff.

2. We do not recommend other online pharmacies as there are concerns with improper storage, counterfeit and expired products.
